So, I have developed a lovely case of bronchitis. Lucky me. Watch out for people at Disneyland, they carry plagues! That's basically been my life for the past two weeks. A lot of coughing and feeling just like shit. I'm having to take an incomplete for my Linguistics class because I missed the term paper and the last test. Thankfully my Anth professor is lovely and likes me, so she's all for helping me out. My bitch Children's Lit professor on the other hand was like: "No, you can only get an incomplete if you were hospitalized." Bitch. Either way I just have one day left, so yay. Other than all that I've been getting accustomed to tumblr, I think I like it. lol. And I've been playing a lot of Portal 2 and being utterly obsessed with watching Toby Turner play it. God, I think I'm in love with him. lol. Oh, and I've been hating on all the news and pictures for The Hunger Games movie. I firmly believe it's going to suck BALLS! | |

Guess I should post on here at least once more before the Rapture happens this Saturday. I mean, I'm not getting raptured so I can post on here all I want till the universe is destroyed in Oct, but you know, for posterities sake I should post before it happens. Lets see, what's new here? I've been horribly sick, missed a whole week of classes thanks to this virus of death. James started watching Stargate (it's a miracle). Just beat Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes on my DS. In the middle of reading 1984. I'm enjoying it but the middle has gotten a little bogged down and boring. :/ Saw Thor on opening night and LOVED it. Can't wait to see it again. Been hating on Jennifer Lawrence and the fact that no amount of hair dye and fake tanner will ever make her look 16. Um... other than that not much is going on. Just trying to stop the coughing that keeps me up at night and getting ready for that Rapture. ^______^ | |

Wasn't Seneca Crane fat?? Or did I just make him fat in my mind when I read the books??? Also, I pictured him older, like mid-late 40's. AND FAT! LOL. Oh, this is about Hunger Games casting as seen here. edit: I'm also really sick of all the casting for the dead kids. Cause really, that's what they are. Aside from like Rue/Thresh/Cato/Clove and maybe a couple others who I can't think of, the rest of the kids are hardly even mentioned in the books. I mean, I think a couple are only mentioned when the fucking canons go off to signal the number of daily deaths. Oh Hunger Games casting, why you fail so much? | |

CAN'T EVEN STOP LAUGHING. So, long story short, I was looking up a movie that Yamada Takayuki was in, called GANTZ. I clicked on the website and when the main picture showed up I loled my ass right off. WTF NINO?!Seriously, Nino with some giant gun is just HILARIOUS! Oddly enough, I've been having an ARASHI nostalgic night. I watched part of the old IZA NOW concert and had myself a good stroll down memory lane. And now this pops up and I can't even. Had a good time at the Festival of Books. Only bought two things, All My Friends Are Dead (which is hilarious and adorable) and The God Delusion (which has been on my "to-buy" & "to-read" lists for years). There was defiantly less free stuff this year. Boo. Other than that I got to meet Ally Condie and had my book signed. She was really sweet. I told her I loved the book to which she replied "That makes me so happy." Then I told her I've already pre-ordered the next one to which she replied "That makes me REALLY happy!" :) ( pic of her signature )I also swear that I saw an actress there, but I can't for the life of me think of what she's from. It's been driving me crazy. :/ | |

Tomorrow I'm going with the fiance and one of my best friends to the LA Times Festival of Books! Huzzah!
Best part, I just found out that Ally Condie is signing! I'm totally going to try and get my copy of Matched signed! :D
Other than that, I want to find all the free books and swag. I hope I have enough to buy a few books, too.
Sorry I have been lax on here. I promise to try and get back on here. At the moment James has no computer at all, and we have to decide if we're buying on this month or next. So when I'm over there I'm completely cut off.

My Facebook just informed me that Peeta and Gale have been cast for The Hunger Games movie. ( this picture greeted me )The caption read something like: "Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson cast in the film version of The Hunger Games." And I looked at the pictures and I said, "Oh okay. Cute blond guy = Peeta and brunet guy = Gale. I can get on board with that." Then I looked up IMDB to make sure the FB add wasn't just rumors or false, and what I found confused me. "IMDB has it wrong." I said. "Look, they've gone and mixed the two roles up." I said. So I came to LJ, good old LJ, and opened up ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif?v=92.2) girl_on_fire_12 and found this post about it. The guy who looks like Peeta is playing Gale, and the guy who could pass for Gale is playing Peeta.
