so i have seen multiple people doing a movie challenge where they say that they will watch 100 or 50 movies in 2008, this sounded like fun so i've decided to do this for myself, but put a spin on it! i will be watching 50 movies and reading 50 books! :D the rules are simple, everything must be new to me (ie i can't count a movie i've already seen or a book i've already read). this will hopefully give me motivation to read faster, and to try more new movies. wish me luck!

PS I still love S3, but he's right about the lack of EVERYTHING in this game and my bitterness at having to wait for online updates and expansion packs.

I need to get off my lazy ass and read more books. Thus far I've only read ONE novel this year. THIS WHOLE YEAR!!! D: (technically it's two if you count the novel for my English class, but I don't, since it wasn't for fun and I hated it. XP)

I'm currently reading A Companion to Wolves. I started this book weeks ago and I'm still not finished. It's a perfectly good book (though I do think the names are a part of the reason I'm moving so slow), but I just don't know why I'm so sluggish with reading now.

I thought buying all those used books (and the two new books I bought last week) would light a fire under my ass. Sadly, so far it hasn't.

The thing is I want to read, very badly in fact. However, when I sit down to do it I just can't stay focused. It's like I have book ADD all of a sudden. ;__;

*sigh*

There are a handful of books that I have calling me to read them, so I'm hoping these next few weeks will see me finishing at leas ONE!

I think after Companion to Wolves I'll read Corambis. I need to know what happens to Felix and Mildmay! :D

Then I'll probably venture to The Demon's Lexicon and after that try and finish up Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments trilogy (I just bought City of Bones for myself so I could reread it, since I don't remember much. And Taylor it letting me borrow City of Ashes and then City of Glass).

The odd thing is if you sit me down with a stack of comic books I can race through them! (I'm fighting the urge to read the Cable series that I'm borrowing from James)

I'm sure I just need to sit down with a book (and no distractions) and dive in. Lets all hope I can finish something soon and get my old reading habits back.

I now have Katamari on my phone.

(I will also probably have Sims 3 on my phone. And possibly Oregon Trail. And Tetris. I love my fucking phone!!!)

We FINALLY made the move over to Verizon *dances on the grave of AT&T* and with said move we all got new phones.

Both my dad and I got the LG Dare, aka the sexiest phone ever!! XD

I'm so happy right now! I love this phone so very much~

I'm home from my two day book shopping spree. Brought home two big bags full of books. ^___^

All paperbacks were 50¢ and all hardbacks were $1. CRAZY CHEAP!!!

Even the book shelves were for sale. Too bad I had no room for them. lol.

I'm so sad that store is going to be gone forever as of tomorrow. D: Where will I buy my used books now?!?! I WEEP!!

Had a great time with Taylor, as always. XD

We went swimming last night. I haven't been in a pool in over 8 years! So that was really fun. Though, I still have water in my left ear. >.O

And yesterday we went to eat ramen (I had miso ramen with kimchi and some inari). Then we went to eat shaved ice. I had melon flavored. OMG SO GOOD!!!

Now I need to go take a nap... or eat... or eat then nap. ^^b

How many of you guys know who kevjumba is?? Well, for those of you who don't have a clue, he's one of the many vloggers on youtube who actually puts out cute and funny stuff. (and yes I was originally drawn to him because he's Asian, shhh~)

Anyway, he started this new account called JumbaFund. Basically every time people subscribe to that account youtube pays him money. He is then taking that money and donating it to a charity that gets voted on by his viewers every month. This past month it was St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and he was able to donate $1708.

Basically I'm doing my part by pimping this account. You don't even have to watch his videos if you don't want to (admittedly I haven't had time to watch any of the JumbaFund stuff). Every subscription helps him to earn more money which then goes to help a charity. And who doesn't agree with or support something like that?

So guys, if you could go and subscribe to JumbaFund, and then maybe tell a friend or two to do the same, you can help him earn more money in the future.
